Treatment capacity/valuation

Eco-Oil holds a IPPC permit to treat hydrocarbons contaminated waters.

Process of treatment

Eco-Oil provides facilities adequate to the reception of:

  • Hydrocarbons contaminated waters from oil tankers and other vessels;
  • Oily waters and oil in water emulsions due to commercial and industrial land activities.

Residues are treated in order to separate the oily fraction from the watery fraction. The watery fraction is subject to physical and biological treatment until fit to return to the river. The oily fraction is treated and, whenever possible, valued as fuel.
