The unit, additionally to the treatment/valuation that it provides to waters contaminated with resultant hydrocarbons due to maritime activity, treats/values oily waters and oil emulsions generated by commercial and industrial land activities. Besides the maritime sector, the facility also deals with land originated oily waste water. These activities are mainly related to oil industry (including gas stations), but residues generated by other activities such as residual water contaminated with hydrocarbons are also handed over. The residues are carried by tank trucks.  RecepcionTank trucks discharge directly into the reception tanks. The site is guarded 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and holds an ISPS Code certificate. The fire fighting equipment includes a foam producer installation and high capacity foam and water cannons. Waste reception and gas-free certificates are issued before vessel departure.
