Nos dias 9, 10 e 11 de Julho realizou-se, em Ponta Delgada, a Ambitech Açores 2008 – Expoconferência de Água, Resíduos, Energia e Cidades.

Zoomarine in Portimão, Algarve, hosted, from the 17th to the 19th April 2008, a workshop within the scope of Project "RIOS – Reducing the Impact of Oils Spills". Eco-oil was the main sponsor of this event, with Nordeconsult, Zoomarine and Sea Alarm Foundation as partners.

On the 4th of June 2008, a facility has been opened in Portugal to treat most types of industrial dangerous waste. Ecodeal’s CIRVER was inaugurated by the Ministry for the Environment.

The company

Eco-Oil was founded on May 2000 and started its activities on the 1st of June 2001. The facility holds the IPPC permit No. 8/2003.

Eco-Oil provides reception facilities adequate to the reception of oily slops, oil in water emulsions, sludge and tank washings from tankers and also from commercial and industrial activities.

The facility is located in the river Sado estuary, near Setúbal. The location is unique in the service and protection offered to vessels within its sheltered and uncrowded waters.

Eco-Oil was originally founded for the purpose of serving tankers and other large vessels on their way to Lisnave shipyard in accordance with both EC environmental and MARPOL regulations.
