Crude oil tanker TOKYO SPIRIT ran aground in Cascais Bay, Lisbon, Portugal, on Oct 17, pushed aground by strong storm. Vessel was proceeding to Cascais for repairs, no cargo on board. Eco-Oil has have restarted in October the reception of wastes coming from other European Countries. In 2015, this flow represents a share of 20% of the total wastes treated in our facility.

On June 1st, Hugo Santos joined Eco-Oil team. With industrial experience gained in Tanquisado, he will collaborate as an operator in the development of the daily activities of the plant.
At the end of May we have recorded the volume of monthly treatment of 7500 m3 of contaminated water. This volume attests the installed treatment capacity.
The Eco-Oil operates two ships simultaneously, using both sides of the bridge piers. These operations are now frequent and constitute an added value for customers and partners, reducing waiting times and operating costs.
On June 11th, it was concluded the operation of sludge removal of the ship holds. In eight days there were removed 230 tons of sludge.
