Annual Safety Exercise was held in November in close collaboration between Eco-Oil and Tanquisado. The Exercise counted as usual with the participation of National Civil Protection and other stakeholders.
The emergency plan and rediness of Eco-Oil's staff have been put to the test in a real situation, with the need to attack the fire focus in the boiler room. The fire was totally extinguished with our own means. The equipment was put into service after one week.
Eco-Oil is part of the international consortium of the European project "Atlantic Blue Ports" dedicated to demonstration of license technology for ballast water treatment. The project started in Lisbon, with the meeting of all partners at the invitation of the Port of Lisbon.
