On January 15 and 16 of 2019, Eco-Oil attended to the Blue Port Services Congress, which took place in Gran Canarias islands, in Las Palmas. This congress was integrated into the project Atlantic Blue Ports from which Eco-Oil is a partner.

Juan José Cardona, President of Port Authority of Las Palmas gave the welcome to all present guests and project partners. The event was conducted by Fabienne Vallée, project coordinator and covered several topics like ballast water treatment, biological contamination monitoring and the impact in local ecosystems caused by biological uncontrolled BW discharge.

During the first day of the event, several talks were presented, followed by the demonstration of InvaSave, technology developed by DAMEN and certified by IMO and NL, at the Cambulloneros pier.

On January 16, the kick-off meeting between all the present patterns was made. During this meeting, the next steps of the project were decided.
