In case of an emergency in the terminal, the emergency management had a lack of communication efficiency between Tanquisado and Eco-Oil; companies did not share a common frequency and the communications were done through a third party, the security officer located in the terminal gate.
With the installation of a radio signal repeater and an emergency channel common to both companies, nowadays it is possible, in emergency situations, to automatically put all radios at the same frequency and thereby improve the warning and the ability to act in emergency situations.
The system was successfully tested during training, safety and security exercises, conducted in November and December 2018, respectively.
