José Martins joined the Eco-Oil team in January. With a background in mechanics and initial experience in the water sector, he will assume full maintenance management and provide support in new investment projects.
Six months after the startup of the new refinery Eco-Oil doubles its Fuel sales. The new refinery, in operation since November 2016, incorporates the best technologies available for treatment of fuels. The produced Fuel is cleaner and produces less emissions.

In order to strengthen its staff and prepare the team for the start-up operations around the clock, in March, Eco-Oil recruited 5 new employees. The process of integration and training of new colleagues will take place carefully during the months of March and April.
In January, Eco-Oil carried out the cleaning of two Venezuelan tankers for PDV Marina. In this operation, besides the usual teams of service providers, we have the permanent monitoring of a rescue team of the Sapadores de Setúbal, which is an important improvement in the prevention and intervention capacity in case of an accident.
With the start-up of the new units, which incorporate technology with proven results in other sectors, it is possible to offer our customers a fuel with lower gaseous emissions of NOx and SOx, reduction of the cleaning interval of the burner filters and a significant operation and maintenance cost reduction.
Since the beginning of the year, Eco-Oil has launched a desulphurization unit which, in addition to ensuring low sulfur content, also allows for greater fuel homogenization and a significant reduction in asphaltene content.
