APEQ has confirmed, at the end of March 2017, the accession of Eco-Oil to the Principles of Responsible Care of CEFIC
In order to strengthen its staff and prepare the team for the start-up operations around the clock, in March, Eco-Oil recruited 5 new employees. The process of integration and training of new colleagues will take place carefully during the months of March and April.
In January, Eco-Oil carried out the cleaning of two Venezuelan tankers for PDV Marina. In this operation, besides the usual teams of service providers, we have the permanent monitoring of a rescue team of the Sapadores de Setúbal, which is an important improvement in the prevention and intervention capacity in case of an accident.
With the start-up of the new units, which incorporate technology with proven results in other sectors, it is possible to offer our customers a fuel with lower gaseous emissions of NOx and SOx, reduction of the cleaning interval of the burner filters and a significant operation and maintenance cost reduction.
Since the beginning of the year, Eco-Oil has launched a desulphurization unit which, in addition to ensuring low sulfur content, also allows for greater fuel homogenization and a significant reduction in asphaltene content.
