Since February 14, Célia Pedro has been assigned with the industrial responsibility of Eco-Oil, as Process Engineer. With evident leadership skills and recognized commitment, Celia will play the leading role left by João Correia who will take the responsability of Eco-Oil Bahamas Project.
Luís Martins joined Eco-Oil’s team in January 2019. With a degree in chemical engineering and a brief experience in the industry, he will take the lead in the laboratory and collaborate in new research and development projects - Luís will also receive operational training in all areas of the industrial facilities.

In a scenario of intrusion and bomb threat, the terminal protection plan was tested and the emergency plan was activated through the Port Protection Officer.
With the presence of civil protection and other authorities, in November 2018, the annual safety exercise was carried out.
Fortunately, at Eco-Oil there were no record of work-related accidents that resulted in the removal of the employee by medical leave. It happened in October for the first time in 17 years.

Eco-Oil successfully completed the process of renewal and transition of the integrated quality, environment and safety system in July 2018.
In case of an emergency in the terminal, the emergency management had a lack of communication efficiency between Tanquisado and Eco-Oil; companies did not share a common frequency and the communications were done through a third party, the security officer located in the terminal gate.
